Managing Mealtime Success

What real parents are saying about the course!

{

“Each of my kids tried three types of pasta – two unfamiliar to them – and my 5-year-old tried pesto, which he used to eat, but hasn’t wanted for over a year.”
– Melissa, mom of three

{

“We tried the Desserts with Meals strategy last night for the first time and it was a success! I was really nervous at first that my daughter would only eat the couple of mini M&Ms I offered with her meal, but she still ate most of her meal AND left a few M&Ms. I was shocked and also pleased. Plus, she didn’t ask for a treat after dinner like she was used to on occasion. Another baby step that has helped our family.”
– Kelsey, mom of one

{

“My kids have tried quite a few new foods during these weeks. You have helped me learn to relax and see that them touching, seeing me fix, helping me fix, or just smelling or interacting with foods is all useful. Thank you for your help!”
– Morgan, mom of two

What’s Inside to Help Your Picky Eater

This course provides your with proven strategies that will help your child try new foods, end mealtime battles and allow you to avoid making separate meals!

Module 1: No Pressure Meals

We all do it.  We all pressure our children to eat in one way shape or form.  Unfortunately, this can create a negative relationship with food.  But what if you didn’t have to pressure your child to eat?  Learn what to avoid and how to help your child learn to enjoy trying new foods without pressuring them to take two more bites.

Module 2: Family Style Meals

Pre-plating your child’s meals certainly is easier and creates less of a mess.  Learn how to successfully implement family style meals and watch your child try new foods that you’ve been trying to get them to eat for months!

Module 3: Adjusting Portion Sizes

Frustrated because you feel like your child eats barely any veggies, yet wants seconds or thirds of all the carbohydrate-based foods?  While recommended portions sizes are great, they’re not helpful when your child won’t even look at their peas.  Learn how to adjust your child’s portion sizes, larger and smaller to minimize mealtime battles and help your child try new foods!

Module 4: Change Things Up

Unlike what your parents probably told you: it’s okay to play with your food.  It’s also okay to make meals fun.  By adding the smallest of changes, you will see a huge difference in your child’s willingness to try new foods!

Module 5: Kids in the Kitchen

It’s possible that you don’t let your child help in the kitchen because you don’t think they’re old enough, it will get too messy, or you don’t have the patience to deal with it.  Well, it will get messy and it will not be perfect, but getting your kids in the kitchen is essential to developing a healthy relationship with food.

Module 6: Providing Options

Tired of your child complaining about every meal you make – including the ones they just liked yesterday? Most of our children’s decisions are made for them.  While boundaries are extremely important, you can still provide options to your child that allows them to feel included at mealtimes.

Module 7: Desserts with Meals

Many children, adults for that matter, love dessert foods and rightfully so – they’re delicious!  If you find that your child is obsessed over desserts or any specific food, it’s time to change the way it’s presented.  Understand the research behind offering desserts with meals and learn how to successfully implement without meltdowns.

“I’ve signed up for your program and I’ve started doing better with including my daughter in meal prep, offering a variety of foods at each meal and being careful with the language I use.  This week she has made several steamed vegetables and helped add butter and some salt to them, licked a carrot, licked a kernel of corn and actually ate and liked quinoa! *cue happy dance* And she tolerated peas and kiwis on her plate.  She is four now, and until she was 2, she ate like a champ – it’s been a struggle the past two years and I’ve been so stressed about it. Thanks for your tips.  It’s so great to see progress!”

{

“I thoughtI knew it all after my 8 yr old was a picky eater from the very start.  Well, my 3 yr old is picky in a completely different way. And your tips are really helping.  We have salmon once a week and tonight she ate some for the first time!”

FAQs

The answers to all the questions you’ve been wondering!

What age is the Managing Mealtimes course intended for?

While every child is different, this course is best suited for children two years and up.  This is because at this age, they tend to have more independence around eating, communicating and navigating the kitchen.

Can this course work for older children?

Yes!  While it is more challenging to decrease picky eating as your child gets older, these strategies can help at any age.  Even with your partner!

What's included in the course?

This course includes not only my seven core strategies to help your child try new foods and become a more adventurous eater, but also several modules to set you as the parent up for success.  This includes a module on The Division of Responsibility and Managing Your Mindset. Inside each strategy, you will find an informational video of how to implement the strategy with several examples, printable resources, and documents to track you and your child’s progress throughout this journey. You will also receive answers to FAQ I receive on a daily basis from parents just like you!  No more scrolling social media or googling your questions.  It’s all here in one spot!

What if the course doesn't work?

First and foremost, I will help you take a step back and look at the bigger picture. We won’t just look at your child eating 100 new foods. Instead, this is the beginning of them learning to be open to trying new foods, which leads to a wider variety of overall tolerated foods down the road.  If your child starts to even become more comfortable around new foods, touches, smells, licks, or tastes new foods, this is progress! These strategies have worked for thousands of parents, and they can for you too! If after seven weeks your child hasn’t interacted with at least ONE new food (yes, I’m talking touching, smelling, licking, or tasting) I will provide you with a full refund.

How will I receive the information?

Once you complete your order, you will be prompted to create a username and password for the Retrieve platform where the course lives.  From there you can access the modules at any time.  Feel free to go at your own pace and remember – you have lifetime access – so feel free to go at your own pace.

The course is designed to implement one strategy at a time. Prior to starting the course, you will want to dive into the introductory modules in order to give you the foundation to set you up for success. After you start to see success with one strategy, you will then move onto the next. You can go as fast or as slow as you’d like. As always, you can go back to any strategy that you feel needs revisiting in the future for a refresher.

Throughout the course you will be provided with a workbook that will set you up for success throughout the modules.
